Retrospectives are a key practice in learning and growth for an agile team. Facilitated well, they are a space for the team to pause, reflect, learn and respond. Facilitated poorly they are ‘just another meeting we have to attend’ or worst case they are the place where teams blame and complain without any action to move forward.
This workshop is a deep dive into both the mindset and skills of facilitating effective and engaging agile team retrospectives. Participants will explore both the being and doing of facilitation and be able to identify the common pitfalls of retrospectives and how to prevent them.
The workshop is highly interactive, placing a heavy emphasis on learning and growing through experiences that will culminate in a simulated practice where participants will hone their retrospective skills by both leading and participating in practice retrospectives while getting feedback from course leaders and colleagues.
