I’m Marsha Acker, and welcome to my podcast, Defining Moments of Leadership.

We all have them, those pivotal moments that you remember so well – that changed you or how you think about or relate to the world and those around you. I call those ‘defining moments’.

I’m coming up on ten years of coaching leaders and leadership teams and in that time I have come to realize a few things – the topic of leadership is a huge and vast field of information and regardless of the theories that help you define leadership, it really comes down to our behavior in the moment.

This podcast is not about polished stories of perfection or success, although I would assert that all of the leaders you will meet are successful in their own right, it’s because they are each willing to be courageous, do hard things, and be stretched in some way that has them rise up and expand their range of leadership.

You will get to meet real leaders, telling real stories about moments that defined or shaped them and their leadership. We’ll unpack those inspiring stories and pull out tangible learning for all of us.
